Terms of Use of Teamfy

Last updated: 09.08.2026

Welcome to Teamfy, a mobile application developed and operated by Tom Ottelé & Paul Hoffmann, Luxembourg ("we", "our", or "Teamfy"). By accessing or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What changed in this version

This version replaces the one dated 04.08.2026. Two statements did not match what the app does, and have been corrected:

  • Closing your account is only ever held up if you are the only team admin of a team that still has other active members. The previous version also named the last wallet admin. The app no longer asks for that, because a team admin can always administer the team wallet.
  • The statement that Family Sharing is disabled on the App Store has been removed. It was not correct.

The version dated 04.08.2026 replaced the one dated 21.07.2026. Those changes concerned paid subscriptions, which are now live:

  • The paid plans are now named, with their product identifiers, their length and their price. The previous version described them only as “one or more paid subscription plans”.
  • The full billing terms for both stores are set out: when you are charged, when a renewal is taken, how to turn off auto-renewal, and the fact that a period already paid for cannot be cancelled part-way through.
  • The 14-day free trial and how it converts to a paid year are now described.
  • Closing your account is no longer blocked by an active subscription. The previous version said a team owner with a paid subscription could not close their account. That was wrong, and it has been removed.
  • A new section explains that closing your Teamfy account does not cancel your store subscription, that your team keeps paid access afterwards, and that a new admin cannot cancel a subscription bought with your Apple ID or Google Account.

2. Use of the App

Teamfy provides tools for managing sports teams, including calendars, statistics, and a team wallet.

  • EU: You must be at least 16 years old or have parental consent.
  • U.S.: You must be at least 13 years old or have verified parental consent in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

If you create an account for a minor, or enter personal data about a minor — for example, a team admin or coach adding a player — you confirm that you hold the necessary parental or legal authority to do so.

Any registration request generated automatically or by bots is prohibited.

3. Account Registration

To access features, you must:

  • Register an account
  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy

Each team has one or more administrators, who can invite users, assign or revoke roles, and manage team content. A paid subscription is bought and controlled by the person who buys it, through their own Apple ID or Google Account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

4. Roles and Admin Rights

Roles include Player, Coach, Medic, or Other. Admin rights are granted by the team creator or another admin. Admins are responsible for moderating their team space.

Your account stays active until you close it. We do not automatically delete accounts for inactivity.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Violate any law
  • Upload or share illegal, offensive, or copyrighted content
  • Spam, hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the app
  • Disseminate propaganda or violent/inappropriate material

Violations may lead to content removal, warnings, suspension, or permanent ban.

6. Intellectual Property

All Teamfy content (code, design, text, graphics, databases, etc.) is the property of Teamfy or its developers.

  • You may not copy, modify, or redistribute content without permission.
  • By posting content, you grant Teamfy a global, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it in relation to the service.

You must have rights to publish content and will defend Teamfy against third-party claims.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Teamfy offers a free plan and two paid plans. A subscription applies to a whole team: one purchase unlocks the paid features for every member of that team.

Free plan:

  • Teamwallet — free, with no time limit and no payment details required. It includes the team wallet, the penalty catalogue, income and expense tracking, and the wallet leaderboard.

Paid plans. Both are auto-renewing subscriptions with a length of one year, sold as in-app purchases through the Apple App Store on iOS and through Google Play on Android. The products and prices are the same on both stores:

  • Team Pro (product team_management_pro_yearly) — €150.00 per year. Includes everything in Team Light, plus RSVP, detailed statistics and live features, for one year from the date of purchase.
  • Team Light (product team_management_light_yearly) — €89.99 per year. Includes the calendar, player profiles, the dashboard, attendance, game statistics and sport configuration, for one year from the date of purchase.

The prices above are the prices in Luxembourg. Apple and Google each set an equivalent price for other countries and currencies, so prices vary by country. The exact price you will pay is always shown in the app and by the store before you confirm the purchase.

Free trial:

  • Team Pro and Team Light each start with a 14-day free trial.
  • The trial converts into a paid year automatically. To avoid being charged, turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
  • The stores grant one trial per account per subscription group. If you have already used a trial, a new subscription starts as a paid one.
  • If you buy a subscription while a trial is running, the unused part of the trial is forfeited.

How billing works on the App Store. These terms are set by Apple and apply to every auto-renewing subscription bought in the App Store:

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
  • The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price of the plan you chose.
  • You manage the subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, in your Apple Account settings: open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. You can also do this from the App Store. Teamfy cannot do it for you.
  • You cannot cancel the period you are currently in. Turning off auto-renewal stops the next charge; your paid access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and no partial refund is given for the remainder of that period.

How billing works on Google Play. These terms are set by Google and apply to every auto-renewing subscription bought on Google Play:

  • Payment is charged to your Google Account when you confirm the purchase.
  • The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price of the plan you chose.
  • You manage and cancel the subscription in the Google Play Store app, under Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions, or at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Teamfy cannot do it for you.
  • Cancelling on Google Play stops the next charge but does not end the period you are currently in. Your paid access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and no partial refund is given for the remainder of that period.

Other conditions:

  • One paid team per purchaser. A single Apple ID or Google Account can hold a paid subscription for one team at a time.
  • The store is the seller. Payment is taken by Apple or by Google, and that store's own terms and privacy policy apply to it. We use RevenueCat to manage the subscription and to validate the receipt the store issues. No card or bank details ever reach Teamfy.
  • A subscription is tied to the store you bought it from. A subscription bought on iOS is managed through Apple, and one bought on Android through Google. We cannot move a subscription from one store to the other, and buying on one store does not cancel a subscription on the other.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own store policies. We cannot issue store refunds. Apart from that, refunds are only issued where required by law, and if a refund is granted, access to paid features ends immediately.
  • If a renewal payment fails, paid access may continue during a short grace period. If the payment is not resolved, the team returns to the free plan.
  • When a paid subscription ends, the team returns to the free plan. Paid content is hidden but not deleted, and becomes available again if the team subscribes again.

The documents that govern the subscription are these Terms of Use, at https://www.teamfy.app/terms-of-use, and our Privacy Policy, at https://www.teamfy.app/privacy-policy.

Teams sold under a club agreement are not in-app purchases and are not covered by this section. They are agreed with us directly.

Teamfy may suspend or terminate access without a refund if you breach these Terms, provide false information, or engage in activity harmful to our interests or to other users.

8. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription

This catches people out, so read it before you close your account or hand your team over.

A Teamfy account and a store subscription are two separate things. We can delete the first. Only you, through Apple or Google, can stop the second.

  • Closing your Teamfy account does not cancel your subscription. Charges and renewals continue until you turn off auto-renewal in your Apple Account settings, or cancel in Google Play. If you want the billing to stop, cancel with the store first, then close your account.
  • Your team keeps paid access after you leave. For as long as the store reports the subscription as active, the team you bought it for stays on its paid plan — even though your account no longer exists.
  • A new admin cannot cancel your subscription. Someone who takes over the team cannot see, change, transfer or cancel a subscription bought with your Apple ID or your Google Account. The stores only allow the purchaser to do that. If you leave the team, the responsibility for cancelling stays with you.
  • Signing in with Apple is revoked. If you signed in with Apple, we revoke the authorisation that connects your Apple ID to Teamfy when you close your account.

Because of the third point, a team whose purchaser has disappeared can end up paying for a subscription nobody in the team can stop. If that happens to your team, contact Apple Support or Google Play support, and contact us at team@teamfy.app — we can move the team back to the free plan, but we cannot stop the store charging the purchaser.

9. User Content and Responsibilities

Users are responsible for any content posted (text, media, stats, etc.) and must:

  • Respect privacy and IP rights
  • Not share false, harmful or illegal content
  • Not share private data without consent

Admins must moderate team areas. Teamfy may remove content, disable users/admins, and take legal action if needed.

11. Notifications and Communication

Teamfy may send email or push notifications, some of which are required for functionality. Notification settings can be managed in-app.

12. Service Availability, Disclaimer and Liability

Teamfy is provided "as is" and "as available".

So far as the law that applies to you allows, we are not liable for:

  • App or device incompatibility
  • Errors, bugs, or data loss
  • Service interruptions due to maintenance or force majeure

Data and backups: We take reasonable measures, including routine backups, to safeguard the data you store in Teamfy. No backup system can guarantee against all loss, however, and these measures do not replace your own. You remain responsible for independently keeping your own copies of any content that matters to you — for example, statistics, wallet records, events, and other team data — and we recommend you export or back it up regularly. So far as the law that applies to you allows, Teamfy is not responsible for any loss, corruption, or unavailability of your data, nor for any resulting disruption to your team's activities or day-to-day operations.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where doing so would be unlawful. We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, you keep all the mandatory rights and protections given to you by the law of your country of residence and by EU consumer law. The disclaimers and any limits of liability in these Terms apply only as far as that law allows.

The limitation of liability set out in the "U.S. Users – Additional Terms" section applies only to users who reside in the United States.

13. Account Deletion

You can close your account at any time in the app, under Settings > Account > Close account. To protect you, we ask you to sign in again before you confirm.

Closing your account is immediate and permanent. It cannot be undone, and there is no way to recover the account afterwards.

Closing your account is always available to you. We will never require you to cancel a subscription, pay anything, or contact us first.

There is one thing you may have to do first. If you are the only team admin of a team that still has other active members, appoint another team admin before you close your account, so the team is not left without one.

Before you close your account, read Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. If you have bought a subscription, closing your account will not stop the charges.

When you close your account, we permanently delete your login and email address, your name, your profile picture, your phone number and address, your other profile fields, your device and notification data, and your membership of every team. We also revoke the Sign in with Apple authorisation, if you used one.

Some historical team records are kept, so that the team history stays correct for the other members: wallet transactions and balances, statistics, attendance, and past events and matches. Your name, display name, picture and initials are removed from these records, and you appear only as "Former member". They are kept for as long as the team exists, and are deleted when the team is deleted.

If you bought a subscription, we also keep a pseudonymous billing record — the store and RevenueCat identifiers, the product, and the relevant dates, with no name or email attached — for 10 years, so that we can reconcile the subscription with the payment provider and meet our accounting obligations. This is described in the Privacy Policy.

Leaving a team is not the same as closing your account. If you leave a team, or an admin removes you from it, you are removed from that team only and your account stays. A team owner can also delete an entire team, which removes the team and its data.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of Teamfy after changes implies acceptance. The most recent version will be available in the app settings.

15. Governing Law (EU)

These Terms are governed by the laws of Luxembourg.

If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence continue to apply, and you may bring a claim before the competent courts of that country.

16. U.S. Users – Additional Terms
